We are a small ranch covering just over 30 acres and located at
the crest of North Machias Ridge. Machias is a small rural community
on the bank of the Pilchuck River at the western base of the Ridge.
Machias is approximately 30 miles northeast of Seattle. Or for those
of you who are a bit more familiar with Western Washington... about
halfway between Snohomish and Marysville and 10 miles due east of
Everett. Near the base of Mount Pilchuck. This puts us in the
foothills of the Cascade Mountains. The ranch sits at an elevation
of just over 600 feet above sea level.
Sitting at the top of the ridge gives us the unique position to
see not only the Cascade Mountain range immediately to the east but
also affords an incredible view of the entire Olympic Mountain range
40 miles away to the west. Portions of Puget Sound and some of the
islands in the Sound are also within view. Lake Stevens also
glimmers below us in the valley. Needless to say, we love it here.
